How to use the belt:
Just wrap the Decompression Traction back belt firmly around your waist, attach the pump and inflate the belt. As the belt inflates with air, it expands vertically, gently stretching the lower back. Decompression helps relieve pressure off pinched nerves, degenerative, herniated and bulging discs. Relieving the pressure allows degenerative discs to get the water, oxygen and nutrients it requires for faster healing. It permits herniated and bulging discs to return to their normal position and condition. Reducing the constriction on pinched nerves such as the sciatic nerve helps relieve shooting leg pains. How long to use the belt for:
1. You should use the belt for a minimum of 30 minutes each time, 2 to 3 times per day in the first week. Most back conditions will start to see improvements within 1 to 4 weeks.
2. Some of you may feel more discomfort in the first few days after using the belt because your back muscle are not used to being stretched. After the first week of use, your back will adjust to being stretched and it will start to feel better. After one week of use, you can now use the belt for as long as you like each day.
3. Depending on your back condition, some of you will use the belt less each week as your back condition improves. For those of you with severe need to wear the belt for several hours each day, and you might need to wear the belt in order to be comfortable during sleep. There's no harm in using the belt for long term, it does not make your back weaker. The stretching effects on the muscles will help to maximize your back muscle strength and prevent it from going into spasm.
Precaution & Contraindications:
1. If you have herniated disc, inflate the belt slowly to apply gentle and even traction.
2. If you experience any discomfort or pain after using the belt, it could indicate that your back muscles are very tight and you should stretch your back slowly and gradually to allow the tight muscles to accommodate. If pain persists, consult your doctor before resuming use of the belt.
3. If you suffer from any of the below conditions please consult your medical practitioner prior to using the belt:
A. Patients with lumbar spine damage, acute lumbar injuries, spinal fractures, rib fractures, pelvic fractures and severe osteoporosis.
B. Patients with serious cardiovascular or respiratory diseases.
C. Pre-gnant women and children should not use this device.
